My god what have I done, I was a country boy who had tried University
before and it didn't work...what's going to be different. I made goals and I have drilled them, I was living in Inverloch
working full time at a community radio station, but I knew there was more..I had a plan. Get hospitality experience,
get a job locally, move to the city and gain a job in hospitality, make a break into the city theatre world and get into University.
Set, goal, match, it took three years but I have done it.
I first was accepted into University inTasmania, I wasn't looking
forward to it but thought if it is to be it is up to me...so I set myself if I had to move and waited for second round offers
and hooray I was also accepted into Victoria University/Sunbury Campass. Good things come to those who wait, but the
thing they forget to tell people is you have to work bloody hard in the mean time.
I am still working full time four days a week, Uni two full days and
preservice school one day a week, it's hard but so far so good...I am concious of making time for work, school, homework,
family, friends and fun. Grateful for the oppurtunity I have a mature outlook on life and a solid commitment that this
is do or die, sink of swin..the hippo has the same options.
