MY UNDERSTANDING OF THE P.I.R.L.S

Teacher w/pre-school students

P - PERSONAL : Reflecting on yourself as a person, how you
                                learn, how you have been taught, why you
                                do things a curtain way and could it be done
                                differently of better.
 
I - INQUIRE : Inquire about everything. Inquire until it hurts,
                         until your satisfied that your questions are
                         answered.  The power is ours and it is in
                         our control as to how we learn and how much we
                         learn by the extent of our concious enquiry.
 
R - REFLECTION : Reflect on everything you learn, see, hear
                                    and do.......reflect on classes you take,
                                    assessments, lectures, relationships,
                                    beliefs, thoughts, directions, readings and 
                                    more. Reflection gives one the ability to
                                    rethink things for a better                      
                                    understanding and possible betterment.
 
L - LEARNING : Develop an active approach to learning
                              become deep learners. Clesely related to
                              enquire, we must continue to remain open 
                              minded and strive to learn to be better
                              learners, who learn mor and learn better ways
                             of teaching others to learn.  Learn how you
                             learn and how others learn.
 
S - SHARING : Share everything you learn with someone,
                            fellow class mates, friends, teachers or
                            students.  Don't ever be affraid to verbalise or
                            put on paper anything you learn, rethinking
                            and reflecting can help you learn and learn
                            better ways of doing what you have learnt.
                            Share your knowledge and experience with
                            others to better the community you are in,
                            work, home, club or social.
